 Shimla Mirch Rice Recipe: Required Ingredients

•    ½ kg rice
•    ½ capsicum (cut into cubes)
•    250 g spring onion (chopped)
•    2 eggs (beat well)
•    ½ cup cooking oil
•    1 tsp salt
•    1 tbsp. garlic paste
•    ½ tsp orange food color
•    2 tsp black pepper powder
•    4 tbsp. soya sauce

Shimla Mirch Rice Recipe: Cooking Instructions

1.    Clean and rinse the rice carefully and soak in fresh water for half hour.
2.    Take 1.5 liters of water in a large saucepan and put it on stove for boiling.
3.    Add orange food color (mixed in little water or milk) into the water.
4.    When water comes to boil, add rice and cook until it has been cooked 3/4th. Put boiled rice in a colander in order to remove excess water.
5.    Take cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan, heat it and fry beaten eggs. Thereafter cut fried eggs in small pieces.
6.    Now fry garlic in the same oil and then add chopped capsicum, spring onion and boiled rice.
7.    Add soya sauce, salt and black pepper powder, mix well and steam for five minutes.
8.    Delicious Shimla mirch rice is ready now. Remove from heat and serve hot.
