Lahori Paya Recipe: Required Ingredients
3 tomatoes (chopped)
3 green chilies (chopped)
3 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp. cumin seed powder
2 tbsp. whole spice powder
2 bay leaves
2 medium pieces of cinnamon
1/2 cup ghee or cooking oil
Fresh coriander leaves
Lahori Paya Recipe: Cooking instructions
First of all, boil paya and keep aside.
Take half cup of cooking oil in a large pan and heat it.
Add chopped onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.
Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry for few more minutes.
After 3-4 minutes, add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon pieces, green chilies and all other spices, cook well.
Add paya into the spice and cook well once again.
When you feel aromatic fragrance of Lahori paya, add sufficient amount of water and let it cook for about 45 minutes.
Garnish delicious Lahori paya curry with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naans.
