Karahi Tikka Recipe: Required Ingredients
½ kg boneless meat (cut into small pieces)
½ cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp gram flour (baisan)
1 onion (thinly chopped)
Salt to taste
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp aniseed (sonf)
½ tsp dry coriander
5 red chilies
3 tbsp cooking oil
Water (as needed)
Karahi Tikka Recipe: Cooking Instructions
Wash the meat pieces thoroughly in fresh water and let them dry completely.
Sauté cumin seeds, aniseeds, dry coriander and red chilies in a non-stick frying pan and then grind all ingredients.
Add meat, ginger-garlic paste, ground spices, salt, plain yogurt and gram flour in a large bowl, mix well and keep in refrigerator for about two hours.
Take cooking oil in a frying pan and heat it over medium flame.
Add chopped onion and sauté until it becomes golden brown.
Add marinated meat and cook for one minute.
Add half glass of water and let it cook over low heat.
When the meat becomes tender, cook well and remove from stove.
Burn a coal and keep it in the center of frying pan over onion skin or a piece of pitta bread.
Pour one tbsp of cooking oil over meat and cover the frying pan with its lid.
Tasty Karahi Tikka is ready now; serve hot with nnans or pitta breads.
