Fish Biryani Recipe: Required ingredients
1 kg fish slices
1 kg rice
Salt to taste
2 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste
2 medium onions
3 medium tomatoes
1 tbsp. red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Few fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 cooking oil
Fish Biryani Recipe: Cooking instructions
Clean and wash the rice carefully and submerge it in fresh water.
Take cooking oil in a pan and heat it over medium flame for 2/3 minutes.
Fry fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaf and green chilies.
Add chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
Then add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes, cook the spice for few minutes till both ingredients soften and oil separates.
Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander and little water. Continue cooking the spice for few more minutes.
After that, add fish slices into the spice and cook for five minutes. Then take out the fish slices carefully.
Now remove the water from rice, add it into the spice and cook well.
Add sufficient amount of water and let the rice cook over medium flame for some time.
When the water has been dried, place fish slices in the pan over rice, cover the pan with its lid and steam it for 7-8 minutes.
Delicious fish biryani is ready, transfer it in serving dish and serve hot.
