Saada Daal Mash: Required Ingredients
125 g daal mash
1 tsp ginger powder or paste
1 tsp garlic powder or 1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp whole spice powder
Salt to taste
4 tbsp. cooking oil
1 medium onion (thinly chopped)
2-3 green chilies (finely chopped)
Saada Daal Mash: Cooking Instructions
Clean daal mash thoroughly and submerge in fresh water for at least two hours.
Add cooking oil in a sauce and heat it over medium flame.
Fry thinly chopped onion in hot oil till it turns golden brown.
Now add daal mash, all spices, green chilies and half glass of water into the fried onion and let it cook over low flame.
When the water dries and daal becomes soft, cook over medium flame for 2-3 minutes while stirring.
Delicious daal mash is ready. Transfer it in a serving bowl, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with warm pitta bread.
