Dahi Baray Recipe: Required Ingredients
• 1 cup yellow lentils (soaked in fresh water)
• 1 onion (blended)
• Green chilies (as needed)
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 1 kg yogurt
• 1 cup white lentils (soaked in fresh water)
• Salt to taste
• 1 cup lukewarm water
• 1 tsp ginger paste
• Chaat masala (as needed)
Dahi Baray Recipe: Cooking Instructions
1. First of all, blend white lentils and yellow lentils along with onion, salt, baking powder, ginger, green chilies and little water, thereafter transfer this cocktail in a large bowl.
2. Take sufficient amount of cooking oil in a frying pan and fry pakora-shaped small balls of the prepared mixture.
3. Add a pinch of salt in yogurt and beat it well with the help of a fork or egg-beater.
4. Now dissolve two tablespoons of yogurt in one cup of luke warm water and dip the prepared dahi-barays in this mixture and then transfer in beaten-yogurt.
5. Sprinkle chaat masala over dahe barays and serve with sweet & green chatni.
