Chicken Tikka Pulao Recipe: Required Ingredients
½ kg boneless chicken pieces
½ kg Basmati rice
Salt to taste
1 tbsp garlic paste
2 onions thinly chopped
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tsp white cumin seeds
1 tbsp whole spice (garm masala)
4 tbsp lemon juice
A pinch of orange color
½ cup plain yogurt
½ cup cooking oil
Chicken Tikka Pulao Recipe: Cooking Instructions
Wash the chicken pieces well in tepid water.
Submerge the rice in a platter and keep aside.
Squeeze out the juice of fresh lemons in a small bowl, mix a pinch of orange color it and commix the cocktail to the chicken pieces.
Now marinate these chicken pieces in the mixture of plain yogurt, salt, garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin seeds, whole spice and one tbsp of cooking oil and keep in refrigerator for about half hour.
Parch the marinated chicken pieces in a non-stick frying pan over high flame.
Place a hot coal in the center of frying pan amid chicken pieces and cover it for ten minutes.
Take cooking oil in another pan and heat it.
Add whole spice and onion in it and fry until onion becomes golden brown.
Add parched chicken tikkas and remaining yogurt in it.
Add rice after removing the excess water and cook for one minute.
Add three cups of water and cook over medium heat.
When the water has been dried, steam it over very light heat.
The chicken tikka pulao is ready now, transfer it in a serving dish and serve hot with salad and raita.
