Chicken Pulao Recipe: Required Ingredients

1 kg rice
1 kg chicken
1 cup yogurt
2 medium onions
1 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste
A one-inch piece of cinnamon
1 bay leave
3 black cardamoms
5 green cardamoms
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1 1/2 cup ghee or cooking oil

Chicken Pulao Recipe: Cooking Instructions

Clean the rice carefully, wash thoroughly and soak in fresh water for some time.
Wash chicken pieces, let them dry and boil in sufficient amount of water till the chicken pieces become very soft.
Separate the bones from chicken, divide chicken in small pieces and keep aside.
Take cooking oil in a large pan and heat it over medium flame.
Add chopped onion into hot oil and fry till it turns golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for few minutes, then add yogurt.
Let the spice cook till oil separates.
Now add boiled chicken and cook for 2, 3 minutes.
Pack cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leave, small and black cardamom and black peppers in a cloth. Add sufficient amount of water and prepared cloth-packing in the pan.
When water comes to boil, take out the cloth-packing and add rice, continue cooking.
When the water comes close to be dried, steam the rice for few minutes over very low flame.
Delicious chicken pulao is ready, serve hot with yogurt chatni.
